Professor’s Comments August 26, 2013 update

The 10:30 run of the Professor algorithm only produced 21 hits, which is still shy of the 50 minimum required for a Buy Signal.

If the Dow starts to rally over 50 points, I’ll run it again.

From my quick look, there appear to be a lot of stocks that could be on the verge of entering a rally phase.  One way to tell is to look at the tightness of the Bollinger Bands.  JCI is a good example.  If it starts to move above 42, the Band Squeeze should push it significantly higher.  Same for SLB. It too has very tight Bands, which could ‘squeeze’ it higher.
