Professor’s Comments March 15, 2019

Quick Update:
There were no changes to the market timing indicators for equities after yesterday’s session. The S&P, NASDAQ, and Russell 2K remain on Buy Signals. The signal for the Dow, while still Neutral, is very close to becoming a Buy. Almost any type of up day today will likely cause the signal to turn positive.
Gold flipped from a Buy to a Neutral Signal.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s comments, the Model Portfolio sold its position in TZA just after the open and bought a half position in QLD, the 2X long leveraged ETF for the NASDAQ-100. Not sure what the price was. I believe the shares of TZA were sold for 9.70. The Model also bought 500 shares of UGL at 37.40.
So going into today, the Model is up $1,616.49 or 2.05 percent without considering commissions.
I’ll have more in my Weekend Strategy Review when I get home on Sunday.
