Professor’s Comments After the Open 1/8/19

Since this morning’s gap up opening, the Dow has declined in five distinct waves. These waves can be easily seen on the 2 min chart of the DIA.
So once all five waves of the decline are complete, I’ll be looking for a small a-b-c retracement. If the retracement develops, the CCI on the hourly chart of the Dow should start approaching the zero level. Then IF the CCI starts to break below the zero level, I’ll start looking to short the Dow by buying inverse index ETFs from the Dean’s List.
